DAILY PROGRAM
ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO TENUTA REGALEALI TASCA D’ALMERITA, WELCOME
Transfer: arrival after lunch at Tenuta Regaleali. Welcome and accommodation in the rooms.
In the afternoon we will do a first test ride to test our horse and get to know each other.
Followed by a visit to the cellar and technical tasting of 5 wines
Dinner and overnight stay.
REGALEALI – ROCCAPALUMBA – MASSERIA ACQUE DI PALERMO
Breakfast.
Departure in the saddle towards Roccapalumba.
Crossing the mountains and vineyards that extend into the area between Valledolmo, Alia and Roccapalumba and after a relaxing picnic stop in nature, we will arrive in the afternoon at the Masseria Acque di Palermo, managed by the Morello family, a historic reality in the area
Short tour of the Farm with Emanuela, owner and agricultural entrepreneur who will tell us about the history and activities of her company.
Typical dinner and overnight stay.
MASSERIA MORELLO – LERCARA FRIDDI – BORGO RIENA
After a good breakfast we will set off again to continue our route towards the West.
We will cover a good portion of the territory connecting three municipalities: Roccapalumba – Lercara Friddi – Castronovo di Sicilia.
After a lunch break within the municipality of Lercara Friddi, our destination will be the ancient Borgo Riena of fascist origin in the territory of Castronovo di Sicilia.
Welcomed at the Casale Riena farmhouse in the middle of a beautiful naturalistic context, we will spend the late afternoon and then have dinner and stay overnight in the structure.
CASALE RIENA – MONTE CARCACI NATURAL RESERVE – TRAINA AGRICULTURAL COMPANY (PRIZZI)
Back in the saddle we will travel through the Oriented Nature Reserve (R.N.O.) of Monte Carcaci and then continue towards the Traina agricultural company in the Sosio Valley, the innermost part of the Sicani Mountains, between the villages of Prizzi and Palazzo Adriano.
Lunch break near the Sosio river, between the Hippana and Indisi mountains, and then we get back on the saddle to quickly reach the Traina agricultural company via a delightful and suggestive path that runs along the river.
The company, owned for generations by the Traina family, deals with agriculture and rural hospitality and has been breeding the horses we use for the Sikani horse trek project for decades.

Relax and short tour of the facilities.
Guided tour of the village of Palazzo Adriano with its typical features and characteristics
(Albanian culture – Geological and cinematographic museum – Medieval castle – Churches – ex ci adella) aperitif in the square.
Convivial dinner inside the old railway toll booth.
Overnight stay.

AZIENDA AGRICOLA TRAINA – CAMPOFIORITO – ABBAZIA DI SANTA MARIA DEL BOSCO
Breakfast and back on the road, crossing a path above Lake Raia which goes through fields and mountains until reaching the town of Campofiorito, near Corleone.
Break and lunch in an ancient farmhouse.
We continue the trek along stretches of the disused railway line until we reach the gates of the majestic Medieval Abbey of S. Maria del Bosco, between the villages of Chiusa Sclafani and Contessa Entellina.
Once the horses are settled we will be able to enjoy the hospitality of the structure with an aperitif and guided tour of the Abbey.

ABBEY – MONTE GENOARDO NATURAL RESERVE – SAMBUCA DI SICILIA – TENUTA ULMO PLANETA – FORESTERIA PLANETA ESTATE
Breakfast and departure towards the last stage of the Wine Route.
Leaving the abbey behind us, we will enter the dense forest of holm oaks and downy oaks of the Monte Genoardo Nature Reserve, to reach a beautiful panoramic point, from which we can see Lake Arancio and the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
Lunch guests of an intimate family-run farm.
Continuing the journey through the pine forest in the territory of Sambuca Di Sicilia, we will finally cross part of the Planeta family vineyards, until we reach their historic cellar:
Ulmo Estate.
A young group and a family united by passion and traditions, dedicate themselves to the production of wines and olive oil and to hospitality while always maintaining a family atmosphere.
Visit to the cellar and farewell to our fellow horses who will return home via van.
Relax and transfer by minibus to Menfi where another of the Planeta structures will welcome us, dedicated to quality and excellent hospitality: The Planeta Estate Foresteria.
Dinner and overnight.
